Oceania Youth Wave Titles - Geraldton
The largest and most significant youth wavesailing event on the world windsurfing tour. It's a 5 star PWa/IWT world youth event.
Decides the U13 and U15 Youth Wave Regional Champions
Gives U18 and U21 youth 100% world wave ranking points
Competiton will take place on the best two days of our event window.
Locations: U13 divisions will compete at Coronation Beach, Geraldton, whilst The Spot (Oakajee River Mouth) and Sunset Beach will open up as locations for older divisions and/or finals.
Many U13s are just learning to ride waves or jump in the competition and we encourage anybody who can windsurf to enter. The early rounds of the U13's will run as more of an expression session for ALL LEVELS and we'll give prizes for most determined, most fun and more from the early rounds! We mainly want all the young kids on the water together.
Junior Windsurf Camp - Coronation Beach, Geraldton.
A fun, social camp where youth of ANY skill level in windsurfing are given coaching over two days. Families hang out and have fun windsurfing together, meeting and windsurfing with other youth windsurfers and families. Coaching is given in beach starts, water starts, harnesses, planing, gybing, tacking, jumping, wave riding and loops - whatever it is that the individual youth needs. This will be at Coronation Beach, Geraldton.
This years camp with see a more structured approach and more instructors than 2024.
The morning session will be targeted towards beginner/intermediates. The afternoon session will be for intermediate/advanced riders.
Select youth aged over 15 who are registered for the camp will get a $25 incentive to help instruct the younger youth in earlier sessions (min two hours required).
Who Open to any youth aged under 21 from anywhere in the world.
General Schedule
14-15 January 2025. Reserve days for the camp or competition if the forecast for the later days is no good. Otherwise they are simply settling in / free sailing days. No water, safety boat or jetski is available if these days are run as free sailing days. Parents or guardians are responsible for their own children.
16-19 January 2025. The best two days of the entire window will be given to run the Jaffle Shack Oceania Youth Wave Titles. The remaining two days will be the junior windsurf camp.

Food Truck, Camp Prize Nights and maybe even a movie night to be announced soon - at Coronation Beach.
Sat 18th January - Saturday Night Jaffle Shack Presentation & Party night (dinner tickets available on registration). From 6pm or anytime after sailing is finished. Staggering the dinners and arrival time helps out Jaffle Shack.
Locations
Coronation Beach Geraldton for the junior windsurf camp and possibly also for U13 division plus others depending on forecasts. Coronation Beach has friendly, flat water in front, which flows into some very easy, small swells that crumble at best. Then out the back can be larger but very soft waves. It's a perfect place for junior windsurfers of all levels. Youth in any division can sail the smaller inside break at Coronations which suits those who are just learning to jump and are a little less consistent in their waterstarts. Those who are able to ride waves and consistently waterstart can venture to the outside break if they wish.
The Spot (Oakajee River Mouth) and Sunset Beach will also be considered as an option for the more advanced sailors (eg, U21 Pro Junior and U18s, plus potential for the U15s) - depending on conditions of course. The Spot suits smaller swell, whilst Sunset Beach suits large swells. A 4WD is required for the Spot but lifts can be arranged for competitors without access to a 4WD for the competition.
Safety A safety jetski run by Geraldton Surf Lifesaving Club will be present during the two days of the competition. A safety boat will be available on the four days of the official camp and the competition. No safety boat or jet ski will be operating on the remaining two free sailing days. SW Junior Windsurf School will have a safety jet ski present at Coronation Beach during the entire window, but this does require a volunteer driver with a skippers ticket. Parents/guardians are still responsible for the safety of their own children during the event.
Competition Divisions for Oceania Youth Wave Titles Under 13 Girls Under 13 Boys Under 15 Girls Under 15 Boys Under 18 Girls Under 18 Boys Pro Junior Under 21 Girls Pro Junior Under 21 Boys We need a minimum of three youth to make a division. If we have insufficient numbers in a division, the entrants will be rolled into the next oldest age group (eg, we may roll Under 13 Girls into one combined Under 15 Girls). It's better to get your mates to enter!
Junior Windsurf Camp Groups
At registration, we would like you to select skills that you want to learn. We want this camp to help your progress your skills. Group 1 - Beach Starts, foot straps and harness Group 2 - Water starts, blasting, tacking and gybing Group 3 - Intro to Waves and Jumping (must be water starting confidently) Group 4 - Waves and Jumping (happy to swim after your gear after a wipe-out)
Please talk to your local junior windsurf club if you need to borrow any beginner equipment for the weekend.

Entry Entry fee is as follows: - $85 competition only - $85 junior camp only - $120 competition and junior camp. For insurance purposes, you will need to be an affiliated member of an Australian State Windsurfing Association or Junior Windsurfing Club to enter. Anybody can join Windsurfing WA, Geraldton Windsurfing Club, SW Junior Windsurf School or you can join your closest Australian windsurfing club.
Coroparkhttps://coropark.com.au/. A new campground at Coronation Beach similar to above with no showers and unpowered sites only. Also suitable for those with full camping gear, however advance bookings ARE possible.
Goodies Eco-Camp. https://www.goodiesecocamp.com/ Camping near Coronation. Beach with showers, toilets, communal cooking facilities. Suitable for camping and caravans and can be booked in advance.
Sunset Beach Holiday Park.www.sunsetbeachpark.com.auA full caravan park situated closer to Geraldton, right on the beach. Has units available, with fridge, beds, TV, microwave and some with a stovetop. Suits those coming from overseas or interstate without camping gear.
